1. Is sailing experience required?

No experience is needed. Both experienced sailors, as well as the novices amongst us can have a great day with us. In a short period of time we teach the teams the basic regatta skills, for an exciting - but safe - race around the buoys.

2. What sort of outfit do we need to bring?

On board of the yachts there will be lifejackets and foul weather gear for everyone. We do request participants to wear sporty shoes and no black soles please.

3. What to do if the weather is bad?

Rain is not a problem, as we can dress ourselves for it. However, in case of stormy conditions we take the following approach. Up until force BFT 6, we find it justified to set sail. We may need to adjust some elements of the program for it to be safe.

However, if it is above force bft 7 we are no longer insured and need to cancel the sailing. Therefore, we recommend insuring this risk, especially for big events. See our Sailing Events Good Weather Guarantee. For the small-scale events we can flexibly solve without insurance. Of course we also like to think with you and can plan an alternative program in case of 'heavy weather'

4. What about other potential risks?

All yachts are insured in case of a collision, or other damage gained to ship or material during the event. Of course, there must be good seamanship, and your skipper is onboard to ensure he does everything to prevent such a situation. However, risks of injury are not insured. Participation is therefore at particpants' own risk. Of course you can expect the materials and safety features to be up to date next to our experienced skippers. If required, we can ensure this via a customized solution (ask us for more information).

5. How is the catering organised?

The locations and caterers we work with are independent, and we don't have financial arrangements with them. We have a good relationship with them and they are aware of our guests' needs. Together we can offer a spectacular event.

6. What about additional event services?

Sailingevents can take over all logistics around the event. From writing and sending invitations to your guests (clients/team/employees), the registration of participants, to designing team outfits (Polo's, jackets, etc) and more to ensure a successful event.
